about
Candle Haus was in the middle of the suburbs of Virginia, but had all the feel (and smell) of a punk house. We opened this show for Skin Graft, The Others (feat Andrew Kirschner), Pregnant Spore and someone else I think. We would play the house a couple of times, and every time the decay became more intense and interesting.
This is an early show for us, possibly our first one out of Baltimore, and it has that violin + guitar + other stuff vibe that we were heavy into at the time. I think this was also at the time when people thought we were a harsh noise band and not just recording directly into a laptop mic.
And, uh, yeah, this had a heavy 4/20 vibe to it's audience, as you can tell with the lighter sound around thirty seconds in.
