This one also has a funny story, but it doesn't really have to do with the track. We recorded this for a compilation for A Beard of Snails records, who put out our first CDR. It was an anniversary release of 3 3" CDR's. We recorded it the night before a "show" where we were told we could be thrown on the bill at last minute and it would be a weird show, but should be okay.
The address turned out to be a church in a very wealthy part of Baltimore, which seemed pretty dubious but a space is a space. We walk in and we are the oldest people in this space by 10 years. It turns out the show was a high school talent show. How we got invited is still a mystery, why we stayed was an even bigger one, as we watched a bunch of different, things, including a garage band say sexist things about Meg White (?). That show was also the only time we've ever played a two-guitar lineup and frankly we may be too traumatized to ever try it again.
But I found the track from that show anyways, so now you get to relive the cringe worthy experience just like we do. We both played guitars and wind instruments, Mike played a wood flute while I blasted a broken pocket trumpet into the pickups of my guitar.
